I’m sending this on a Saturday, but I imagine it would feel delicious on a slow, lazy Sunday. The house is quiet and tidy, the sun shifting softly through the windows. Maybe it’s after morning coffee or as a late-afternoon unraveling.
In this practice, we’ll be working with the fascia. Fascia serves as the body’s scaffolding—a matrix of semi-crystalline collagen fibers in varying tensile strengths and interweaving patterns that wrap around our organs, bones, tendons, ligaments, brain matter, etc.
Utilizing a specific technique when working with the fascia acts as an inner exfoliant, helping to realign tissue fibers to increase blood flow. The elevated blood flow helps to rehydrate tissues that have become dense or plastic due to inactivity, scar tissue, or habitual behaviors.
